OxyShred Gummies looks like the gummy version of the more popular OxyShred Ultra Concentrated. But despite sharing the same name, these are actually very different formulas. The gummies contain only a small fraction of the ingredients found in the original OxyShred. Even so, they make the same big promise: burn fat and help you lose weight. So, do OxyShred Gummies actually work?
Ingredients of OxyShred Gummies
Chromium
Chromium is commonly marketed as a blood sugar-balancing mineral that may also support weight loss. In people with certain metabolic conditions, including some people with diabetes or PCOS, chromium may slightly improve blood sugar control and produce a small amount of weight loss—roughly half a kilogram to one kilogram over three to four months.
For everyone else, however, the evidence is pretty underwhelming. Most studies suggest chromium has little to no meaningful effect on weight loss.
L-Carnitine
L-carnitine is an amino acid found naturally in foods such as red meat. It plays an important role in energy production and helps transport fatty acids into muscle cells.
Researchers have studied L-carnitine for both exercise performance and weight loss, and some evidence suggests it may produce a small reduction in body weight. But here’s the catch: the dose matters.
Around 2 grams per day is a commonly studied dose, while OxyShred Gummies provides just 1 gram even at the highest recommended serving. That means you’re getting about half of the commonly studied dose. And even at higher doses, the expected effect on weight loss is relatively small.
Inulin
Inulin is a type of prebiotic fiber that helps feed beneficial bacteria in your gut. Some studies, particularly in people with prediabetes, have found that daily intake of fibers such as inulin can produce a small amount of weight loss.
Fiber can certainly be useful when you’re trying to lose weight, but we also need to consider how much you’re actually taking. Many studies use around 30 grams of fiber per day. That’s a substantial amount.
The idea is that larger amounts of fiber can increase feelings of fullness and help moderate blood sugar responses after meals. But you’re not getting anything close to that amount from a few OxyShred Gummies.
White Kidney Bean
White kidney bean extract contains a compound called phaseolamin, which can block an enzyme called alpha-amylase. This enzyme helps break down starch and carbohydrates.
The theory sounds straightforward: slow carbohydrate digestion, absorb fewer carbohydrates, and potentially consume fewer calories.
But there’s a catch. White kidney bean extract is supposed to be taken with a meal because that’s when carbohydrates are actually present for it to act on. And the research typically doesn’t use just any generic white kidney bean powder. Many studies use standardized extracts, such as Phase 2 or Beanblock, that contain a specific amount of phaseolamin.
OxyShred Gummies uses a generic or unstandardized white kidney bean extract, so we don’t know whether it provides the same active compounds used in the research. The dose is another issue. Studies commonly use around 800 to 1,000 milligrams with each meal, while OxyShred Gummies provides just 200 milligrams.
Green Coffee Bean
Green coffee bean extract is essentially coffee beans that haven’t been roasted. Because they’re unroasted, they contain higher levels of compounds called chlorogenic acids, which are often promoted for their potential effects on fat metabolism and blood sugar.
The problem is that much of the excitement surrounding green coffee bean extract comes from animal research, particularly studies in mice.
There are a few small human studies suggesting green coffee bean extract may produce a slight reduction in body weight. But there’s another factor to consider: green coffee bean extracts often contain caffeine. And caffeine already has modest, well-established effects on fat metabolism and weight loss. So it’s difficult to determine how much of any potential benefit comes specifically from the chlorogenic acids.
And when studies do find a potential benefit, they often use much higher amounts of chlorogenic acids than you’d get from OxyShred Gummies.
Caffeine
Finally, we get to the ingredient that’s likely doing most of the heavy lifting: caffeine.
Caffeine is one of the better-studied ingredients in OxyShred Gummies. It can slightly increase energy expenditure and fat oxidation, and it may provide a small benefit for weight loss.
Its bigger advantage, however, may be exercise performance. Caffeine can improve alertness and physical performance, potentially helping you train harder or exercise for longer. And that can indirectly support weight management.
But let’s keep expectations realistic. Caffeine isn’t a powerful fat-burning shortcut. Without exercise, its effect on weight loss is likely to be fairly small.
At the maximum recommended serving, four OxyShred Gummies provide about 100 milligrams of caffeine. That’s roughly the amount you’d get from a cup of coffee.
Is OxyShred Gummies Effective?
So, is OxyShred Gummies really a fat-burning gummy that tastes like candy? Unfortunately, I don’t think the formula is likely to do much more for weight loss than you could get from a cup of coffee. Most of its potential benefit comes down to the caffeine, while several of the other ingredients are included at doses that are simply too low to expect much of an effect.

There’s also another part of the OxyShred Gummies marketing that deserves a closer look: the idea that sugar-free gummies can help you lose weight by satisfying your sweet tooth.
On the surface, the concept sounds logical. Replace sugary, high-calorie foods with something sweet that contains little or no sugar, consume fewer calories, and lose weight. Simple, right? Well, not necessarily.
Research on zero- and low-calorie sweeteners is surprisingly mixed. Some studies show little or no benefit for weight loss, while others have found associations between long-term consumption and weight gain or metabolic problems.
So what’s going on? One possibility is that people may simply eat more. If you know something is “sugar-free,” it can feel like a guilt-free pass to have more of it. And if you increase your overall food intake, the calories you saved by choosing a low-calorie product can disappear pretty quickly.
There’s also the possibility that regularly consuming intensely sweet foods could influence your taste preferences. The more sweet foods you eat, the more you may crave them. Over time, that could potentially make highly sweet, calorie-dense foods even harder to resist.
Then there’s the gut microbiome. Some research suggests that certain artificial sweeteners may affect gut bacteria and potentially influence processes such as insulin sensitivity and glucose regulation. However, this is an evolving area of research, and the effects may depend on the specific sweetener, dose, and individual.
OxyShred Gummies uses sucralose, the artificial sweetener best known by the brand name Splenda. Sucralose is essentially a modified form of table sugar that has been altered so your body doesn’t process it like regular sugar. That’s why it provides sweetness with very few calories and a much smaller effect on blood sugar than ordinary sugar.
However, sucralose isn’t completely free of controversy. Some studies have raised concerns about potential effects on DNA and the gut barrier. These findings don’t necessarily mean that eating sucralose causes harm in humans, but they do show why it’s worth looking beyond the “sugar-free” label when evaluating a weight loss supplement like OxyShred Gummies.
Overall rating

Rating Oxyshred Gummies by effectiveness for weight loss, I’m giving it a C. I don’t expect it to do much more than a daily cup of coffee.
Rating it by cost, I’m giving it an D. There’s nothing particularly special here that justifies the price, and the basic ingredients can be replicated much more cheaply.
Rating it for safety, I’m giving it a C. The biggest obvious concern is the caffeine, particularly for people who are sensitive to it.
Overall rating, I’m giving a D. I would not recommend it at all.
